OOPS...

Well I have been slacking on this post I tell ya.  Seems like the days just fly by.  So here is the story, Logan did not have his surgery on the 24th.  There was some confusion and quite frankly Logan was really scared.  With that said we have a new date of August 1, 2012.  I appreciate everyones warm wishes and prayers.  Logan is a strong kid and he will beat this I have no doubt.  I will keep this updated...lol before he turns 20 I promise.

Hello everyone tonight I am up late, and for all of you that know me..... HELLO 10:30 PM is late.   So I had a lot to do to get ready for Logan's second surgery.  This one is a major and critical surgery.  They are performing an osteotomy.  That means they are going to open up Logan's leg and clean up the bone and reposition the hip and then pin it.  So he is a little nervous, so he told me before he went to bed but I assured him things would be fine and in no time he would be back on the soccer field and on the ice playing hockey.  I appreciate all the prayer lines we have out there.  Prayer is greater in numbers so I thank each and every one of you that has sent a special prayer up for us.  Logan's surgery is at 9:45 AM tomorrow.  I will get to this post as soon as I can to let you know how everything is going.

Hello everyone.  Today is June 11th sorry I haven't updated in a little bit.  On June 2nd Logan went to the Chester Fishing Derby.  He won a tackle box for catching the most fish.....that number would be 31......yes I said 31 FISH!!!!!  It was pouring rain and he stuck it out with trash bags on his casts and rain jacket.  It was quite the experience.    Today we went to see Dr. Kasser at Children's Boston.  They cut his casts in half and made them so that he can take them off for 2 hours a day!!!!! Hee Yaaaaa and he said Logan can go swimming!!!! Only for 2 hours a day but it is better than nothing...Logan is such a trooper.

Hello everyone....today is Friday and Logan is home with his dad today because his classmates went on a field trip to the Flume up north.  Although a little disappointed, he rather be fishing.  Logan needs to practice for the 2012 Chester fishing derby being held tomorrow morning, so he is dragging his poor dad out again today to fish.  I believe it is time that mama get her license...LOL  I will keep you updated as to how he does at the fishing derby.

Happy Memorial Day.  We salute all that have served this country.  Logan is doing well.  Nana brought over some cotton candy icecream just for him.. no hard feelings ma...... and she also made Logan special shorts that fit over his casts..they are really neat.  Anthony came over today, Logan is very happy.

Today Jordan and Hunter came over and we all went fishing..of course Logan caught the most fish....don't know how he does it..

As I promised here are a couple of pictures from the hospital.....such a trooper I tell ya

We are home now. Logan is doing well. A little itchy and his bum hurts a little but we are getting through it.  His bed is in the livingroom with all the cards that the kids made him in school all around him.  He is a very strong boy.  Yesterday daddy took him fishing and he caught a huge large mouth bass....even casted and in a wheel chair he is an amazing fisherman.  Working on getting the picture so you all can see.

Still at Children's and Logan is doing good.  He is now up in a wheelchair and looking pretty comfortable.  I forgot my camera cord so I can't add a picture right now but I will when we get home....long night on a very uncomfortable bed for me and Logan was really itchy all over.  We can't wait to get home. Logan is excited that we are going to skype the class today at 1:20PM Social networking what a great way to keep in touch.

Hello all.....Logan is doing great.  His casts are very patriotic...red whte and blue.  I will post the picture as soon as I download it.  He says hello to everyone, and he just finished 2 croisants so no loss of appetite. His spitrits are great.

Tuesday night.  Logan went to school today and they had a little get well good luck party.  Logan and I just sat down and read all the wonderful cards that the kids wrote.  He is in good spirits and ate a ton of food for dinner. 

May 22, 2012 the day before surgery and poor Logan didn't want to go to school, he said he didn't feel well.  He is nervous just like we are.  Logan's class was giving him a little good luck and get well party and I think he does not want the attention.  He is the stongest bravest child I know.

Tonight is Monday May 21, 2012 and I just finished setting up the blog and I will start Logan's Story tomorrow.
